I’ve been lucky enough to have stayed in some pretty nice places on my travels, but our suite in the middle of the South African bush took my breath away. Not only was it comfortable and luxurious, it was a perfect blend of rustic and modern, decorated in a spare yet stunning style, and it was completely private. I wanted to pick it up, move it back to Los Angeles, and live in it forever.

We had our own infinity plunge pool, indoor and outdoor showers (which I took advantage of!), an open fireplace, and an amazing  bathroom with a soaking tub looking over the pool and the reserve.

We had to lock our doors when we were out so monkeys wouldn’t get in and we were wary walking around outside. Antelope grazed outside our door and an elephant somehow made it through the animal-proof fencing.
