Bondi Beach is home to the one of Sydney’s many ocean pools. They’ve been built into the side of cliffs up and down the coast. Surf, sand and the odd shark washes in. By far the fanciest one is the Bondi Iceberg Baths, made famous the group who swim there all through the winter.

I was lucky enough to get tickets to a water polo match between the Aussies and a ‘Rest of the World’ team which turned out to be a pretty cool event. Over six levels, one above the other, fans wined and dined while watching these uber-athletes clash, as Bondi rescue boats plucked the odd struggling swimmer from the surf right in front of us on a busy summer day at the beach.
