4 Office Worthy Pieces For Under $40

September 24, 2017

You already know how quickly working in an office, school, restaurant, retail store, or studio every day, uses up your outfit options. These super affordable pieces will each work with most of the other clothes in your closet, but they make a pretty good outfit when worn all together too.

I really love black and white combinations. They’re classic and crisp and rarely let me down. These black Zara cropped high-rise pants look great with every shirt and blouse in my closet.

This ruffled feminine top looks much more dressy than it actually is. It’s basically a t-shirt which also looks good with jeans or a skirt. I’m trying it under my black maxi dress next.

The black low-heeled pumps are a no-brainer. You probably already own a least one pair.

Black leather totes like this are reversible and come in a range of price points.

You’ll notice I added a long pendant, it’s a naturally formed crystal that doesn’t need to be honed. It just pops out of the ground like that. I have a few of these amazing things from my friend Hank. He finds them at meteorite conferences! I put it on a long silver chain so it creates a deep V. It’s flattering and elongating over a high neckline like this one.

Even though my office is in my house, I try to dress up a bit most days, especially now I have meetings a couple of days a week. But I’ve worked in offices, TV newsrooms and networks most of my career and remember the daily grind of the closet conundrum well.
