Hollywood Hills Modern (source: lapoolbuilders.com)
I’d never even seen an outdoor fire pit before I moved to California. For me, they epitomize the West Coast lifestyle. I’ve since spent many a fun, happy night sitting outside with friends, sipping drinks around their fire pits.
One of my favorite backyards belongs to dear friends who have a home in Palm Springs. They have two modern stream-lined fire pits beside their pool. I fell in love with the simplicity and relaxed vibe of this house and vowed to recreate the same feeling in my backyard at home in Los Angeles.
Fast forward three years and I still haven’t done anything about it. And even though we’re well into summer, the Los Angeles sunny season lasts a lot longer than most, so I’ve begun the search.
I’m looking for a fire pit that can be connected to the natural gas line and comfy seating so we can hang out under the stars once the sun sinks below the Pacific.
