I love it when an errand takes me close to a discount retail store like Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, or TJ Maxx. I’ll regularly pop in and spend 30 minutes checking out what they have, and filling holes in my wardrobe or replacing staples for a fraction of what I’d spend at a boutique or a regular department store.
It’s a bit overwhelming at first. Everything looks exciting, and there’s an awful lot of it, so it’s important to be even more discerning than usual.
I’ll always look out for cute white t-shirts with a designer label, so I know the cut it good. It’s a great time to update underwear and workout wear as well.
TJ Maxx has a website you can shop from. The clothes are not photographed particularly well. It’s better to go in, try on everything you like the look of, and only leave with what you absolutely need and love. I really only use the website to find a size they may not have had in store. The big thing to avoid here is coming home with a ton of cheap stuff that you are never going to use.
